Octoprint is pretty darn cool. To see it in action, point your browser at 192.168.1.128 (when you are at IG).

There are lots of things we are learning, but here are some raw notes to page through if you are interested in that sort of thing.

NOTE: the Raspberry Pi currently attached belongs to Chris W. Eventually we will purchase two Pis-- one for each printer.

connect to raspi via ssh @ 192.168.1.128 pi berry

for wireless connection:

sudo ifup wlan0

or sudo /etc/init.d/networking restart

the config that works

sudo vi /etc/network/interfaces

auto lo iface lo inet loopback

auto eth0 allow-hotplug eth0 iface eth0 inet dhcp

  1. auto wlan0
  2. allow-hotplug wlan0
  3. iface wlan0 inet static
  4. wpa-roam /etc/wpa_supplicant/wpa_supplicasudo vi /etc/network/interfacesnt.conf
iface ig inet static
address 192.168.1.126
gateway 192.168.1.1
netmask 255.255.255.0
wpa-conf /etc/wpa_supplicant/wpa_supplicant.conf
iface home inet static
address 192.168.1.126
gateway 192.168.1.1
netmask 255.255.255.0

source /boot/octopi-network.txt ~

sudo vi /etc/wpa_supplicant/wpa_supplicant.conf

ctrl_interface=DIR=/var/run/wpa_supplicant GROUP=netdev update_config=1

network={

 ssid="IthacaGenerator g"

}

Once connected, open remote browser, and type in address? http://192.168.1.126/

Octoprint comes up.

We are tunneling? Because of MobaXterm?

Login to OctoPrint with TypeA Series1

and it connects to the Series1.

Webcam just works.

Figure out how to port forward or VPN tunnel to access off local network.

Amazing.
