The MakerBot Thing-O-Matic is the newest addition to the 3D printer fleet. It was rescued and donated by a Friend of the Generator who knows we like such things.
We don't know a whole lot about it right now, but it does boast a MakerBot Motherboard 2.4 and an Automated Build Platform. We will most likely use ReplicatorG to control it, but we may have some success with other toolchains.
This is a "vintage" 3D printer and will probably serve out the rest of its life as a utility machine and an educational tool. It apparently needs a good bit of work before it will be operational, and the other printers will take priority. If you are interested in helping restore this piece of 3D printing history to its original operating condition, let us know!
